Located at 37º N, 23º E, Athens, is the capital of Greece. It lies southeast of the state.
Mountains cover most of Greece, although they are sparsely populated. Greece includes many of different types of landforms other than mountains, including fertile valleys, plains, and coastal areas. These are densely populated.
Athens is located just southwest of the city Piraeus. The country is located south of Macedonia, Albania, and Bulgaria.
